First read
the label on the upholstered item to see if it is sold as colorfast.
If it is, then test the upholstery to be cleaned for Color Fastness
and Color Stability by applying FOLEX on a hidden area.
Only use FOLEX on colorfast, and color stable upholstery. If
the upholstery can be removed from the furniture, such as with some
cushions, remove the upholstery and follow the Removing Clothing
Spots directions. If the Upholstery cannot be removed from the furniture:
 |
Apply
just enough FOLEX on the spot to dampen the stained area,
do not over saturate the spot, as that can push the stain down
into the furniture or cushion. |
 |
Gently
agitate FOLEX into the spot with your finger, in the same
direction as the grain of the material. |
 |
Using
a clean cloth or paper towel, press the spot out. Do not rub or
scrub the material, and never use a brush. |
 |
Most
spots will require you to repeat this process at least once to
completely remove the spot. Be sure to use a clean and dry area
of the cloth or paper towel you are using to press the spot out,
after each application of FOLEX. |
 |
No
rinsing is required, and FOLEX will not leave a sticky
residue. |
